This morning Jon and I were woken up by Eric crawling into bed between the very naked pair of us, Jay was not far behind. As soon as he came in he blurted out that Jay had bought our tickets. So.....it's official the 24th of this month is the last day in the states for 3 months. We have ALOT to do and still have to figure out how to get the one thing I can't live without over....my computer.

First, verify that the power supply on your computer can handle being fed 240V. There might be a switch on it somewhere that sets the power setting; if not, call the manufacturer and ask.
Take your case and wrap it up in an anti-static bag. Put it in a large suitcase with a bunch of clothes and your mouse and keyboard. When you get to the UK, get yourself a standard UK power cord to plug it in to the wall.
When you get to the UK, get yourself a cheap monitor from someplace. You're good to go.
FWIW, this is why my main computer is a notebook. It goes wherever I go, I have two external USB drives that store all my data (together in size they're smaller than a paperback book), and the power brick handles everything from 100V in Japan to 240V in Europe just fine. I'll never buy a desktop again.
Oh. And make sure you don't allow your iPhone to roam on any of the UK networks, or else you'll have an enormous phone bill waiting for you when you get home. Just sending a text message will cost more than you think.
So scary, yet so exciting. I wish us both luck. lol
